Learning is hands-on, active, and engages both body and mind, whether in the classroom or outdoors. Movement, making, and doing are central to the approach.
With over a decade of experience in start-up schools, I offer expertise in resource procurement and encourage the use of neutral palettes and nature-based resources for maths and literacy. I support schools in adopting project-based, hands-on learning for secondary students and provide insight into developing innovative learning environments.
Movement-based activities support learning, brain development, and attention. Hands-on tasks make learning engaging, while physical experiences with writing tools enhance expressive and descriptive language, which is especially valuable for second-language learners.
Secondary learners are encouraged to engage with texts that reflect their experiences and to participate in excursions that inspire learning and build knowledge.
